About Me I'm a digital consultant with focus on human centered design

With an empathic and analytical mindset, I help start-ups and international players to transform good ideas into better products and innovative services.

My wide experiences in many disciplines, job roles and companies made me a T-shaped person who loves to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams. Since 2015 I have contributed to over 30 UX research and design projects and gained extensive expertise in the end-to-end product development process.

I enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams according to agile, scrum and SAFe principles, often step naturally into the role of a product owner and can also turn into a scrum master. For teams that want to skill up their UX skills, I offer hands-on trainings and facilitate co-creation workshops such as Design Sprints. To individuals, I offer career coaching and mentoring.

My background is in Psychology and Human Studies where I hold an M.A. My career started in communications and evolved into software documentation. Originally from Germany, keen to discover new territories, founded a social business in Estonia, lived in Switzerland, and based in Malmö, Sweden.

When offline you can find me in the great outdoors with my sea kayak or motorcycle, or getting my hands dirty with organic gardening. I like to explore and apply traditional crafts. To balance body and mind, I practice Iyengar yoga, study Buddhist psychology and offer Zen Coaching.

My Education Life is a learning journey: I am currently working towards my certification in Zen Coaching.

User Experience Design

Design Thinking as well as Agile and Scrum principles had a big impact on my work since starting with digital projects more than 20 years ago. In 2015, I have successfully passed Career Foundry's five-month, mentored online training course, covering the complete end-to-end design process from User Research to UI design. To keep myself up to date in human centered design, I regularly visit international conferences and attend and lead workshops.

Information Design

Studying Funktionsdesign (c) at the Technical Academy Esslingen (TAE) enabled me to apply DITA and XML techniques and handle complex information of extensive websites, intranets, and online portals. I have defined hierachies, categories, and the terminology as an Information Architect. As a technical writer, I have created software manuals, user guides and wikis including UI copy. My deliverables helped consultants, developers and key users to implement, enhance and operate complex business apps.

Storytelling & Content Strategy

Voluntary services in publishing companies connected me with the media business. I learned to publish books and apply layout and typography by understanding the effects of colors, shapes and styles. To promote products and events, I created press releases and spread the news to journalists. Later I changed the page and worked as an editor, conducting interviews and writing success stories and specialist articles that had been widely published print and online.

Art History & Psychology, M.A.

Being fascinated by art and design, my university studies followed that path. Architecture, sculpture and historical monuments are still my favorites. My interest in cultures led to European Ethnology and intercultural communication. My search for what makes us individuals resulted in studying cognitive and developmental psychology, trying to understand human behavior and emotions. I love to explore new technologies and their impact on our life.
